Abstract
This document describes the work that was done to accomplish the task of
developing and automating interoperability tests for The ATM Forum's
network routing specification, Private Network-Network Interface (PNNI)
version 1.0. It describes what interoperability means in this context
and how it is to be implemented in a test environment. It also describes
in detail the programs, filters, and capturing mechanisms for recording
and processing the observed information. It explains the actual tests
that were developed and the results of using these tests on a sampling of
ATM switches implementing the PNNI protocol.
